Once enroled, you will be given details on how to book your Part One exam (theory test). You need to give yourself enough time (usually 3 to 4 weeks) in order to study for this. We can also book the theory test for you for no extra cost (though the complete package deal does not include test fees). You will be given all the learning materials and mock tests in books and CDROM format to study in the comfort of your home. Should you require access to a computer, this can be provided.
On enrolment, part 2 training will begin which will consist of between 15 and 30 hours, delivered over 2 or 3 hour training sessions. You may not need this many or you may need more but this will be estimated on your initial assessment drive when you enrol and is all inclusive in our complete package (no matter how many extra hours you may need). Once you have passed part one and completed enough driver training to get you to the required standard, you can book your part 2 exam.
This is the most challenging part of the qualifying process to become an approved driving instructor and will require the most time. This is the test of your ability to instruct and we will be coaching you to coach rather than teach. It is a very complex exam and can be quite stressful if you don't have the right trainer. After completing 40 hours in car training for part 3, you will be eligible to earn income on a trainee license while readying yourself for your final exam.
